Copyright notices

Last updated October 17, 2026

Freeurl respects the rights of copyright owners. A short link only points to a page hosted somewhere else, and we do not host the content it points to. We can disable a short link. The website that hosts the content is the right party to remove the content itself.

Send a copyright notice

If you believe a Freeurl short link leads to material that infringes your copyright, send a notice by email to [email protected] or use the online report form and choose "Copyright". We accept notices in digital form only. Please include:

  1. Your electronic signature (typing your full name is enough);
  2. A description of the work you say has been copied;
  3. The short link(s) you want us to look at, for example freeurl.co/example, and the address where the material is;
  4. Your name, address, phone number and email address;
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not allowed by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are allowed to act for the owner.

Please send only true claims. Knowingly sending a false notice can have legal consequences for you.

What we do

When we receive a complete notice, we act promptly: we disable the short link and may tell the account holder. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.

If your link was disabled

If you believe it was a mistake, or that you have the right to use the material, reply by email to [email protected]. Tell us the short link, why you have the right to use the material, and your name and email address. We may share your reply with the person who sent the notice, and we may restore the link if the claim does not hold.
